We collect recipes that become a part of the traditions of our families.  Whether it's Christmas Dinner or the backyard barbeque.  We like simple, high quality and flavorful meals.  We hope you will find recipes here that will become a part of your family food traditions. Please submit a favorite recipe of yours to share with others as well. 


Strawberry Jam
2 quarts of strawberries
1 package powdered pectin
1/4 cup lemon juice
7 Cups sugar
Wash strawberries throughly and remove stems. Mash strawberries in layers. Combine strawberries, powdered pectin and lemon juice in a large pan.  Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add sugar, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim foam if there is any on top. Ladle hot jam into hot jars leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Put lids and bands on jars. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water canner.
Pretzel Salad
1/2 cup Margarine Melted
2 C. Crushed pretzels not to fine
2 Tbsp. Sugar
Mix and Press into 9 x 13 pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool.
Mix:
8 oz pkg. cream cheese softened
8 oz. Cool whip
1/2 cup sugar
Blend and spread on crust.
Combine: 2 pkgs. Strawberry Jello with 2 Cups boiling water. Add 2 pounds fresh Strawberries. Chill until consistency of egg whites not long if using frozen strawberries.  Pour over cream cheese and refrigerate.
Strawberry Smoothie
Fill Blender 1/2 way with frozen strawberries. Put a 1/2 cup of milk and one tablespoon of sugar in blender. Blend until well blended. You may also put other frozen fruits in there as well if you wish.
Strawberry Yogurt Dessert
1 1/2 cup fresh or frozen ripe strawberries
2 Tbsp. Hailey's Honey
1/2 Cup plain Greek or regular yougurt
Crush the strawberries. Add honey and mix well. Add yogurt and stir gently to mix everything together. Serve immediately. You may fancy it up by adding whip topping,chocolate chips and a strawberry on top.
Chocolate Dipped Strawberry
20 Strawberries
1 Bag of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
Wash Strawberries and pat dry. Melt chocolate. Dip Strawberries by the stem into chocolate and lay on waxpaper. Let the chocolate set and then enjoy
